BIG SPRING VINEYARDS
We established Big Spring Vineyards in 2006. The first vine planting began in 2007. Currently, there are between 7-8 acres in production, with 7-8 more acres planned for planting over the next few years. The soils are stony/rocky loam and abundant water comes from Fern Spring.
With a history dating back to the 1800’s the ranch has been used as a resting/watering station, cattle ranch and was a home for construction and blacksmithing businesses.
The vineyards are producing Rhone and Bordeaux varietals, both red and white, as well as a few Italian and Spanish varietals. Warm days, cool nights and mild fall weather ripen each to perfection.
